Marketing professionals agree that having a website or an online presence is an essential component of any company’s marketing strategy. Having a website provides a business with exposure almost every minute of every day.  Consumers go to a company’s website as the first course of action when they want to find out more information about the company and its products or services.

It is easier, faster and less expensive to let your customers be in the know of your products and services, and their features and benefits; entice them to your latest promo; and get them to purchase your goods when you have a website.

E-Commerce: Is It Among Your Online Strategies?

Several case studies support that a website and several online strategies could help significantly generate sales. It is, therefore, essentially important for your website to be able to take orders and accept payments from your leads and customers.  If you are not into the e-commerce bandwagon yet, you are late in the game. However, it is not too late. But here’s the catch – having an e-commerce site is not enough anymore. Your e-commerce site should also be mobile-responsive.

Among the many online marketing strategies, having a mobile-responsive website is the most important. Why? A critical number of people surf the Internet through their mobile devices more than on their personal computers.  And that number is growing.

Businesses, therefore, need to adapt to changes in consumer behavior for them to still retain their market share and capture some more.

Is your E-Commerce Site Mobile-Responsive?

A mobile-responsive website is an approach to web design with the aim of creating sites that makes it viewable on any form of mobile devices. A mobile-responsive website is readable on smartphones, tablets and laptops with minimum resizing, panning and/or scrolling.

Why is Going Mobile the Most Important Online Strategy?

Mobile devices like smartphones and tables are now predominantly used to browse, search and purchase items.  Reportedly, more than 80 million people in 2012 have used their mobile devices to search for product information and reviews online.

Purchases through mobile devices have already generated a reported $1.5 trillion in transactions, so far, this year. What does that tell you about the proliferation of mobile devices and their uses for e-commerce? That amount is even projected to double in three to four years.

Because of that statistics, more than two thirds of the retailers are planning to invest on mobile e-commerce this year. If you’re not yet planning to do so, you’ll be left behind by your competition.

The mobile channel, or what marketers call as m-commerce is a huge opportunity for businesses, more so for retailers. Coupled with the intense impulse buying behavior of most owners of mobile devices, m-commerce is a sure hit!

As a conclusion, mobile marketing is an imperative marketing strategy: to attract purchasers, provide them with information, to keep them in your stores, and, most importantly, to get them to buy your products or services. Is it part of your strategy now?
